Directed by Jon Ferguson

Sound and original score: Tim Cameron

Set Design: Erica Zaffarano

Costume Design: Lori Opsal

Lighting Design: Wu Chen Khoo

Collaboratively created by Jon Ferguson and an ensemble of performers: Jason Ballweber, Julia Fairbanks, Tyson Forbes, Sophie Gori, Rebecca Hurd, Emily King, Elise Langer, Megan Odell, Sara Richardson, Anthony Sarnicki, Paul Sommers and Dario Tangleson.

The Guthrie describes the new work as such: "Super Monkey tells the story of a doorman and the inhabitants that populate his building. His only wish is to make everyone who passes through the front door happy, if only for one moment. But in the constant stream of residents, workers, children and bypassers, no one connects with one another. Through Super Monkey, award-winning theatre maker Jon Ferguson has constructed a visual and physical modern farce to dissect the fear of the unknown, our obsession with wanting more, and the act of building both structural and personal façades to achieve happiness."

“Super Monkey is a must-see for anyone who likes their theater to have a healthy dose of humor, a exciting feeling of discovery, and a profound sense of wonder” - Twin Cities Daily Planet 2009

“…Ferguson continues to deliver on his justly deserved reputation for emotionally impactful material rife with wildly diverse character dynamics.” - Twin Cities Performance Art Examiner 2009

“Director Jon Ferguson and his ensemble have created a wonderfully entertaining meditation on being and nothingness.” - Star Tribune 2009
